Hi, all.
I can't believe that I saw Halloween candy for sale in Wegmans today...HELP! On the upside, it's pushing me to get my summer news out before the leaves fall...
JUNE saw the opening of Airigami's exhibition, Once Upon a Time, at The National Musuem of Play at The Strong, as well as Larry Moss and Kelly Cheatle's first children's picture book, Artist Eyes. Both were picked up by international media, and -- I'm not complaining -- but filling photo and info requests was a constant challenge throughout July and into August.
Also in June, KidzROC presented New Jersey band, StarFish, at the Main St. Armory with excellent preview coverage and a good turnout.
In JULY, new client Lumiere Photo opened its stunning, new space at 100 College Avenue in the Neighborhood of the Arts with a ribbon-cutting ceremony that featured Mayor Richards and every local TV station. The much-publicized reopening of Lumiere's historic Spectrum Gallery followed in early August, and featured the work of world-renowned photographer, Ralph Gibson.
Empire State Lyric Theatre's unique fundraiser, Opera Rocks, was also one of my big July projects that garnered great coverage, both before and at the event itself.
Last but not least, Rochester writers Amanda Jacobs and Lindsay Warren Baker have charged me with drumming up support for their wonderful Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, A Musical at the prestigious New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) this September 29-October 11!! Look for An Evening with the Writers coming up on August 22 at WXXI...
I'll be in touch again before the snow flies. :-)
So NOT a blogger,
